Vision

We envision a society in which there is full respect for the human rights of every child and just allocation of the resources required to ensure his or her optimal health and well-being.

Mission

To ensure the optimal health and well-being children through the principles and practices of equity, social justice and children's rights.

Goals

SECH will engage in collaborative work with interdisciplinary professionals, policymakers, and communities to facilitate its work.

Organizational Goals

  • To create new knowledge through enhanced Research capacities
  • To promote the Education and Training of a multidisciplinary group of professionals interested in child health
  • To foster the integration of new knowledge into child health Practice and Programs
  • To generate evidence-based action through Advocacy and Public Policy reform
  • To further collaboration between interdisciplinary professionals and communities through the sharing of information and the development of strategic efforts for reform
  • To integrate and link its efforts with other groups and individuals with intersecting interests, including professional societies, non-profit organizations, academic institutions, and government

Societal Goals

  • To establish environments conducive to the optimal health, development and well-being of all children
  • To ensure that the best interests of children are considered and promoted at all levels of society
  • To ensure that children have a voice and are listened to within the context of their capacities
  • To ensure the full rights of children as outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child are extended to all children

Process Goals

  • To ensure the development and sustainability of this inter-disciplinary organization
  • To foster collaboration with other entities to achieve the vision and mission of the organization
